"Last Stand" This new photograph made on March 17th, 2007 celebrates the Memorial Oak Grove in Berkeley. On this Saturday morining more than 75 tree lovers bravely, peacefully bared themselves in a show of vulnerable solidarity with this last remaining grove of coast live oak trees on the flatlands of Berkeley, CA. Since Dec 2nd 2006 tree sitters here visible in the branches have, with the help of supporters, been living in these mature oak trees slated for destruction.
